Orange Pomegranate Apple Cider

Updated: Apr 18, 2019

Whether its Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving, your people will enjoy this yummy apple cider with a twist! Two tips I've discovered along the way - Don't dump all the pomegranate seeds into the dispenser like I did - they sink straight to the bottom. (I never said I was strong in science). Sprinkle them into each glass over the ice cubes instead. I also froze all of the orange slices the night before to act as "ice" so the cider didn't get watered down (and it stayed very cold for several hours).

1 gallon apple cider

24 oz blood orange Italian soda (found these at World Market)

24 oz pomegranate Italian soda

4 apples (sliced)

4 oranges (sliced in wedges and frozen the night before)

small container of pomegranate arils

cinnamon sticks (optional - and too expensive where I was shopping!)

1. Add the liquids together and stir well.

2. Add the apples and oranges to the cider.

3. Serve! If not using a dispenser you can serve in glasses with "orange ice" and apple slices topped with pomegranate arils.
